Resolutions to solve drainage system problem on Calceta and B. Inting St., approved

The 14th Sangguniang Palungsod of the City of Tagbilaran, headed by Vice Mayor Jose Antonio S. Veloso, unanimously approved two proposed resolutions pertaining to the allocation of funds for the creation of drainage systems along Calceta and B. Inting Streets in Tagbilaran City. The august body recognizes the need of the city for a comprehensive drainage system, which will address the persistent flooding in numerous areas within the city.

These resolutions will address the concerns of the residents of Calceta St., who have been suffering from recurring floods. The funds for the creation of a drainage system along Calceta St. will be coming from the excess amount appropriated for the purchase of a lot for the dumpsite in the amount of 1,097,321.25 pesos. These excess funds shall be realigned to address the urgent concerns of the residents of Calceta St., who have been suffering from persistent flooding. The flood brings with it foul odor and health hazards to the Calceta residents.

Furthermore, it will address the concern of having no drainage systems along B. Inting St. Tagbilaran City has been booming with an increasing number of developments, thereby making said area prone to flooding in the long run. The approval of said resolution makes sure that funds will be allocated for the creation of proper drainage systems in the area.
