The Fourteenth Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Honorable Vice Mayor Jose Antonio S. Veloso, approved the application for accreditation of the Cogon Women’s Associaton (CWA), with the City of Tagbilaran, during its regular session last February 14, 2020, at the SP Session Hall. CWA is a community-based people’s organization. Accreditation with the City Government of Tagbilaran is necessarily mandated by the Local Government Code, to make them active partners in the pursuit of local autonomy, and to directly involve them in the plans, programs, projects or activities of the local government units, such as involvement in the delivery of basic services and facilities. City Councilor Jonas R. Cacho, Chairperson of Committee on External Affairs, Special Affairs, and Public Information, sponsored the approved resolution.
