The 14th Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Tagbilaran, led by City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio S. Veloso, acknowledged the presence of COVID 19 TWG spokesperson Dr. Yul Lopez in their second regular session for the month of May. It can be recalled that members of the city council requested in the previous session that a member of the PEMA and/or a member of the Covid 19 TWG be present in today’s session in order to provide the City updates on the Provincial Government’s plans and programs for the incoming OFWs and LSIs stranded in Cebu, Manila, Mindanao and other parts of the country.Dr. Lopez, being the TWG spokesperson, accepted the invitation and appreciated the efforts of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in reaching out to the Provincial Emergency Management Administration for COVID 19 to discuss how the City Government can further assist the Provincial Government especially as we will be expecting more OFWs to be coming home in the next coming weeks. Lopez reported that as of today, 59 swab test results have been received already, 58 out of 59 have been reported as negative. We are still expecting the 6 remaining test results.
