During their regular session last April 14, the 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod confirmed the appointment of the new City Engineer of the City of Tagbilaran, Engr. Teodoro “Teody” Estoque. Engr. Teody who had been the acting City Engineer for the past 5 years, thanked the august body for the trust and confidence in the confirmation of his appointment. He vowed to lead the Office of the City Engineer in providing quality public service with integrity and accountability. He went on to reach out to the SP members and asked for the latter’s support in all of the city’s infrastructure projects most especially the drainage Problem and Traffic Congestion.
The City Engineer’s Office of Tagbilaran City provides engineering services including investigation and survey, engineering designs, feasibility studies, and project management. It is one of the mandatory offices created in every city and municipality. CEO was created through RA 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and its numerous functions are outlined in Article 7, Section 477 under Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code. The office is primarily created to administer, coordinate, supervise, and control the construction, maintenance, improvement, and repair of roads, bridges, and other engineering and public work projects of the LGU.
