Announcements, News and Articles

The city council approved 2 resolutions authorizing City Mayor Jane Yap to enter into a memorandum of agreement the Department of Health-Central Visayas thru the Health Facilities Enhancement Program for CY 2023 to secure additional funds for the city’s health development projects.

The first Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by the City Government and the DOH will help facilitate the release of P53 million fund for the Construction/Completion/Upgrading/Repair of Tagbilaran City Dialysis Center and the second memorandum would help facilitate the release the P10 million fund for the Construction of the Tagbilaran City Super Mega Health Center.

The Tagbilaran City Dialysis Center and the Tagbilaran City Super Mega Health Center will be built as a 3-storey building having a total floor area of 3,000 sq meters on a 15,000 sq meter land owned by the City Government which is located in Barangay Dampas. The construction of the Super Mega Health Center would enable the City Health Office to expand their health services such as laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, birthing services, diagnostic, pharmacy and emergency services and hopefully in the future provide additional services such as 2D Echo and CT Scan. The construction of the Tagbilaran City Dialysis Center would help decongest the long waiting list of patients who want to avail the dialysis machines, especially in the Gallares Hospital. The construction of both centers is a testament of the city government’s priority to improve health and well-being of the Tagbilaranons.
