During their regular session last July 14, 2023, the 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod enacted an ordinance recognizing the laudable and noble efforts of the late Atty. Zoilo. D. Dejaresco, Jr. who conceptualized the establishment of the Tagbilaran City Friendship Park.The city acknowledges Atty. Dejaresco’s contribution to the city and he has been recognized as an important part of our city’s identity and heritage. Thus, the Sangguniang Panlungsod enacted an ordinance sponsored by Hon. Nicanor S. Besas naming the Tagbilaran City Friendship Park Amphitheater as the “ATTY. ZOILO D. DEJARESCO, JR. AMPHITHEATER.” The Tagbilaran City Friendship Park with its expansive amphitheater, notable viewing deck, ancient well, and heroes park will attract foreign and local tourists alike and as one of the priority projects of the administration of Hon. City Mayor Jane Censoria C. Yap, the “ATTY. ZOILO D. DEJARESCO, JR. AMPHITHEATER” shall become a venue for cultural shows for tourists and local residents.
