Announcements, News and Articles

The Department of Agriculture (DA) seeks the assistance of the City Government of Tagbilaran and wishes to enter into a Data Processing and Non-Disclosure Agreement for the updating of the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

The RSBSA is a registry of farmers, fisherfolk, and farm laborers that serves as a targeting mechanism for the identification of beneficiaries for different agriculture-related programs and services of the government. By registering in the RSBSA, farmers, farm workers, and fisherfolks shall become eligible to avail of various agricultural programs from the government such as agricultural loans, crops and livestock insurance, provision of seeds, fertilizers, farm inputs, technical assistance, soil analysis, and issuance of livestock and poultry travel certification.

The 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod passed Resolution 24-77 which authorizes City Mayor Jane Yap to enter into a data processing and non-disclosure agreement with the Department of Agriculture for the updating of the RSBSA. Through this agreement, the DA shall remain as the personal information controller in the processing of all data while the City Government shall assist in the updating of the RSBSA by processing data gathered from farmers and fisherfolk within their jurisdiction.

Resolution 24-77 is sponsored by Hon. Odysseus C. Glovasa.
