Job Order (JO) workers under the City Government of Tagbilaran will expect an additional 30-40% increase on their daily wage starting next year after the Sangguniang Panlunsod approved the recommendation of the Committee on Appropriations and Accounts to reflect the said increase in the City’s 2023 Budget.
Committee Chairperson Jose Esteban Timoteo S. Butalid, in consultation with the rest of the committee members and City Budget Officer, Marysol O. Perocho have recommended the following increase in daily rates of the job order workers:
The proposal to increase the daily rate of our job order workers is a definite way to boost their moral and a means of showing the City’s appreciation to their dedication in the delivery of basic social services to our constituents.
Our National Laws and the Civil Service Commission does not allow JO workers from receiving bonuses, benefits and allowances, the increase in the daily rates of Job Order workers would allow them to receive bigger pay and a huge help especially in times of economic inflation.
