To ensure uninterrupted conveyance of electricity and protecting the integrity and reliability of the country’s transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution systems, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines and the Government of Tagbilaran will be entering into a memorandum of agreement.
Currently, the NGCP is implementing its Maribojoc-Corella 230KV Transmission Line Project which will traverse along four (4) parcels of land in Barangay Cabawan. These 4 parcels of land are owned by the City School Board of Tagbilaran.
To ensure that the traversing power lines will be clear from obstruction, the City Government of Tagbilaran, through its City School Board, will grant perpetual and continuous easement of right of way. In exchange, NGCP will provide assistance to the City Government of Tagbilaran in the construction of a 2-storey school building with 6 classrooms and conforms with DepEd specific standards for school buildings with Restroom Facilities, Water System and Fire Alarm System.
The 15th SP of Tagbilaran passed Resolution No. 24-86 which authorizes the Hon. Mayor Jane Yap to enter into a memorandum of agreement with NGCP for the effective implementation of the project. Resolution No. 24-86 is sponsored by Hon. Nerio D. Zamora II, Chairperson of the Committee on City Planning and Public Lands.
