As part of their mandate in approving resolutions that promote general welfare and protecting the lives of its people especially the vulnerable members of the society from disasters, the 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod passed P.R. No. 214-23, Approving Revised Hazard-Specific Contingency Plans with Integrated COVID-19 Prevention and Response of Tagbilaran City during their October 13, 2023 regular session.
The Hazard-Specific Contingency Plans which were submitted by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) i included the Typhoon Contingency Plan for Year 2022, Earthquake Contingency Plan for Year 2022 and the Contingency Plan for Fire Incidents as of September 2022 and integrated COVID-19 prevention and mitigation, preparedness and response to effectively combat the virus even during disaster response operation. These Revised Hazard-Specific Contingency Plans for natural and manmade hazards have been developed to establish operational procedures for response to specific hazards based on risks identified by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and shall ensure timely and efficient response mechanisms while taking into account possible COVID-19 outbreaks during the disaster response operation for a safer, adaptive and disaster-resilient city.
