The City Council of Tagbilaran has approved its P10.2 billion annual investment program in fulfillment of its mandate stated in Section 106 of the Local Government Code, “Each local government unit shall have a comprehensive multi-sectoral development plan to be initiated by its development council and approved by its Sanggunian.”
The city’s annual investment program is an integral part of the annual local government and budgeting system. It serves as the basis for the funding of various priority development programs and projects of the City for calendar year 2023. The AIP has been crafted in close coordination and consultation with peoples’ organization and civil society organizations, department heads, city council representatives, punong barangays and has been approved and reviewed by all the members of the City Development Council through CDC Resolution No. 02, series of 2022 last July 6, 2022.
After careful study and deliberation, City Council’s Committee on Appropriations and Account duly presented their recommendation to the City Council to approve and adopt the CDC resolution, Approving the 2023 Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the City of Tagbilaran in the amount of P10,235,247,710.52.
