The Fourteenth Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Hon. Vice Mayor Jose Antonio S. Veloso, passed a Resolution allowing for a partnership between the Board of Investments (BOI) and the City of Tagbilaran.In line with the vision of BOI towards “Accelerating Investments, Industry Growth and Sustainable Jobs by 2022,” this collaboration for the sharing of vital information shall lead to the successful creation of opportunities for business and employment as well as the efficient facilitation of investment-related issues and concerns. The creation of this seamless linkage between Tagbilaran City and BOI will facilitate the promotion of this city as an investment destination and the implementation of policies that are geared towards promoting ease in doing business. Furthermore, the promotion of Tagbilaran City as an investment location is consistent with the development strategy of the city in encouraging local and foreign investments to spur economic activity and generate employment and income opportunities for the Tagbilaranons.
